Spring practice assumed mid-season appearance yesterday afternoon with the first actual scrimmage and the appearance of several new coaches. C. E. Brickley '15 and T. J. Campbell '12 came out to coach the backs, Brickley later taking charge of the kickers and giving them individual instruction. R. R. Cowen '16 instructed the line in starting and breaking through with Captain H. H. Dadmun '17 as an assistant. D. J. Wallace '16 gave the centres special attention. Preliminary work in limbering up as well as dummy practice was held, D. C. Watson '16 supervising the work of the quarterbacks.
Practice ended with a brisk 15-minute scrimmage between Teams A and B. As the teams were evenly matched, the contest resulted mainly in a kicking duel. Both teams showed plenty of fight and ability. After Team A had scored a field goal, the substitutes were put in.
