More Leiter Cup Teams Needed

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Only eight complete teams have signed up in the blue-book at Leavitt & Peirce's for the Leiter Cup baseball series. To make the series successful it is absolutely essential that at least a dozen full teams be organized. At this time last year 15 teams had been formed and signed up. All teams should be made up by next Saturday evening at 6 o'clock, and a manager signed with each organization. At present the "Imperators" and the "Peoria Giants" both lack managers.

The series will begin next Monday afternoon, and two games will be played every afternoon, at 4 o'clock, weather permitting. Announcements of games and the diamonds on which they will be played, besides game results, will be published in the CRIMSON. Managers must have reports of games, with score by innings, total hits, and total errors for both teams, in the box marked "Leiter Cup" at the right of the entrance of the CRIMSON Building each night before 7 o'clock. The captains and managers of the various teams must call at the office of the Athletic Association every day on which they are scheduled to play, when each captain and each manager will be provided with a baseball.
