MEYER TO LECTURE IN UNION

EX-SECRETARY AND J. L. SALTON STALL TO TALK ON NAVAL TRAINING CRUISE.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Mr. G. Von L. Meyer '79, formerly Secretary of the Navy, and Mr. J. L. Saltonstall '00, chairman of the First Naval District Committee, will speak in the Living Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock in the interests of the Naval Training Cruise for Civilians, planned to take place during the coming summer from August 15 to September 12. Both Mr. Meyer and Mr. Saltonstall are eminently qualified to speak on this subject, and their remarks should be of value to any who are considering attending the naval camp.

Mr. F. D. Roosevelt '04, Assistant Secretary of the Navy, will make an address on the subject of the "Cruise," at the Harvard Club of Boston, next Saturday evening, at 8.30 o'clock.

Tickets for this address will be given out at the Union to those who are seriously considering enlisting for the "Cruise." Undergraduates who have not decided whether to join or not are thus afforded an excellent chance to hear from those in charge just what the aims and plans of this "Naval Plattsburg" are.
