TOURNAMENT STARTS MONDAY

The college championship tennis tournament in Singles will begin on Jarvis Field next Monday afternoon. The tournament will be open to all men in the three upper classes, except those on the University squad. Entries must be made in the blue-books at Leavitt & Peirce's before 6 o'clock next Saturday. In order to avoid all unnecessary conflicts the hours of all afternoon college engagements must be placed in the book. The winner of the tournament will play the leading man on the University squad for the college championship. Cups will be awarded to the winner and runner-up. There will be an entry fee of 50 cents, but no charge will be made for the courts. Contestants are expected to furnish their own balls.

Trials for All Tennis Teams Today.

Trials for the University tennis team will continue on Jarvis Field today. The following matches will be played: At 2.15-J. S. Brown '17 vs. A. F. Doty '16; W. D. D. Morgan '18 vs. J. Wooldredge '16. At 3-R. N. Williams, 2d, '16 vs. G. C. Caner '17; H. G. M. Kelleher '18 vs. J. S. Pfaffman '17. At 4-J. S. Brown '17 vs. J. Wooldredge '16; W. D. D. Morgan '18 vs. A. F. Doty '16.

The following trial matches for the second team will be played on Jarvis Field today: At 2.45-H. Talcott '18 vs. E. B. Benedict '18; E. O. Baker '17 vs. E. B. Benjamin '18; W. Campbell '16 vs. L. E. Green '18. At 3.45-E. B. Benedict '18 vs. E. O. Baker '17; W. Campbell '16 vs. D. K. Dunmore '18; H. R. Guild '17 vs. H. Talcott '18; H. R. Clapp '16 vs. W. R. Bullard '16; P. B. Davidson '16 vs. S. B. McKinley '16.
