University Swimming Team Lost

The weakened University swimming team met defeat at the hands of the Springfield Y. M. C. A. College in the Springfield tank on Saturday, the score being 37 to 16. Springfield went into the lead by 8 points at the very beginning, taking the relay in spite of the excellent sprint of H. Wentworth '17, who started his relay several yards behind his opponent. Of Harvard's 16 points, 7 were earned in the plunge which was won by A. Dixon '16, R. M. Benjamin '17 tieing Krindinier of Springfield for second place. J. A. Machado '17 and P. Davison '16 took second and third in the 50-yard swim, and H. Wentworth '17 was second in the 220. In the other events, the University was restricted to third place.
