The Speakers' Club will hold the preliminaries of its annual Peace Prize speaking contest on Saturday morning, April 8, in Sanders Theatre. The final speeches will be delivered on May 2 and will be open to the public.
The prize is one of $50, given annually by the Massachusetts Peace Society for the best speech delivered by a member of the Speakers' Club on some topic connected with international peace. It is open to any member and those who are interested should hand their names to the secretary at once.
On May 16, the annual extemporaneous speaking contest will be held. For this competition two silver cups will be given. Members must sign up in the blue-book which will be posted in the clubhouse.
