RIFLE TEAM BETTER THAN YALE

University Shots Made Creditable Scores in Dual Match.

The University rifle team won a signal victory in its match with Yale, making the creditable score of 990 to Yale's 977. This match was shot by the two teams separately, Yale at New Haven, and the University at Cambridge, but under identical conditions, and with identical rules governing the shooting at both places.

In the shoot, only the two highest of the Yale shooters surpassed the University's lowest scorer. The scores were as follows: HARVARD. W. S. Stearns '17 (capt.),  199 H. R. Guild '17,  199 C. A. Coolidge '17,  198 L. Clark '16,  198 R. H. Cobb '18,  196 Total,  990 YALE. R. M. Thebaud,  199 H. C. Norton,  197 H. G. Anderson (capt.),  195 S. J. Waddell,  194 E. P. Sykes,  192 Total,  977
