DOJ Sues Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu ’07 Over Sanctuary City Policy
New Haven, Conn., March 16.--R. V. Vaughn 1916 was elected captain of the Yale University baseball team this evening. Vaughn prepared at Exeter, where he was captain of his school team. He also played on his Freshman team and has been a member of the university team for two years, playing the outfield.
The election of Vaughn came as a complete surprise, for last month it was decided that Arthur M. Milburn 1916 S., who was elected captain at the close of the last season and was one of the five men to be declared ineligible by the Athletic Association, should continue to hold his position. Milburn, however, recently decided that his captaincy might have a serious effect on the team's success, and resigned. He would have been unable to play this season, but it had been decided that he would direct the policy of the team.
