The 1050 Krag-Jorgensen magazine rifles ordered for the Regiment have arrived in Cambridge, and have been stored in the basement of Smith Halls. In addition to the 1050 rifles, model 1898, 1050 model 1902 front sights and muzzle covers, 1050 small arm oilers, 1050 cleaning rods, sections one, two, and three, 210 screw-drivers, and 105 arm chests have also been received.

Forty thousand rounds of ball cartridges, model 1898, came with the rest of the equipment. This ammunition has not been unloaded from the cars yet, but arrangements are being made to do so.

Although the rifles are already numbered, special numbers will be stenciled on the sides of the butts so that they may be picked out easily by those who use them. Irving H. Streeter, 96 Company C. A. C., will be armorer to the Regiment.
