The track team has entered thirteen men in the Seventh Annual Indoor Carnival, held under the auspices of the Meadowbrook Club; at Philadelphia, today. This is the first year that the University has made any entries in this meet. The men who will make the trip are as follows: C. S. Babbitt '18, A. Biddle '16, W. J. Bingham '16, J. Coggeshall '18, G. G. Haydock '16, J. O. Johnstone '16, A. T. Lyman '16, H. W. Minot '17, T. R. Fennypacker '16, E. R. Roberts '16, W. Rollins '16, E. A. Teschner '17, and W. Willcox, Jr., '17.
E. A. Teschner '17 will compete in the 50-yard dash and H. W. Minot '17 in the 50-yard hurdles. In the 440-yard dash, A. Biddle '16, H. W. Minot '17, T. R. Pennypacker '16, and E. A. Teschner '17 are entered, while J. Coggeshall '18 will run in the mile race.
In the field events, there are six men entered: J. O. Johnstone '16 in the high jump, G. G. Haydock '16, and C. S. Babbitt '18 in the pole-vault, and A. T. Lyman '16, E. R. Roberts '16, and W. Rollins '16 in the 12-pound shot-put.
The track and field events will both be handicap events.
The relay team will probably include W. J. Bingham '16, T. R. Pennypacker '16, and W. Willcox, Jr., '17, with H. W. Minot '17 or E. A. Teschner '17 as the fourth man. Each runner will cover 440 yards, instead of the usual 390. A close contest is assured, as the team will meet Pennsylvania, Cornell, and Yale in this event.
The winter track season comes to a close with this meet, and no more work will be done until the cinder track in the Stadium is ready for use
