"The Country of Thomas Hardy" is the subject of an illustrated lecture which Mr. F. W. C. Hersey '99, of the English Department, will give in the Boston Public Library Hall this evening at 8 o'clock. Next Friday evening he will speak on "The Scenery of Novels by Dickens, Hawthorne, and Others." These two lectures are given in connection with Mr. Hersey's University extension course in composition, and are open to all members of the University.
