Mahan to Coach at California

An official contract has been signed by E. W. Mahan '16, captain of last fall's University football eleven, to coach the back-field candidates next season at the University of California. Mahan will work under head coach Andrew Smith, formerly of Pennsylvania. Mahan is the second player of last year's eleven to sign a contract to coach, E. W. Soucy having already made an arrangement to coach at the University of Wisconsin.
