The University chess team is now holding the first position in the Metropolitan Chess League with a record of 4 matches won and 1 lost. This record includes 19 single games won and 11 lost. The Boston Chess Club, however, is in second place by only a narrow margin, since it has won 3 1-2 matches and only lost 1. Wells Memorial, Technology, and Bay State follow in order, the latter team not having won a single match.
