BASEBALL PRACTICE STARTS

BATTERY CANDIDATES TO REPORT TO COACH MITCHELL NEXT WEDNESDAY.

A meeting for all candidates for the University baseball team will be held in the Varsity Club on Monday evening February 14, at 7 o'clock. Coach Mitchell, Captain Nash, and Dr. E. H. Nichols '86 will outline the plans for the season.

Battery candidates for the University nine will be called out on Wednesday, February 16. Fielders will not report until about a week later, as Coach Mitchell wishes to give his undivided attention at first to the pitchers and catchers.

Candidates for second assistant manager of the University team should report in the H. A. A. Monday, February 14, at 5 o'clock. Candidates for manager and assistant manager of the Freshman team will be called out shortly after. No previous experience is necessary for these competitions. Complete information concerning the nature of the work required will be given out at the first meetings.
