Parker Won Both Shot-Puts

First place in the 16-pound shot competition yesterday was won by G. M. Parker '19 with a put of 37 feet, 5 1-2 inches (handicap, 6 feet, 6 inches). L. Jackson '19 took second with 36 feet, 6 inches (handicap, 8 feet), and J. W. Cummings '18, third, with 35 feet, 11 1-2 inches (handicap, 5 feet). The best actual record of the five men in the competition was 35 feet, 3 1-2 inches made by E. R. Roberts '16 from scratch.

In the 12-pound shot, G. M. Parker '19 was first from scratch with 36 feet, 5 1-2 inches. V. E. Hull '19, also scratch, was second with 35 feet, 10 inches, and W. Arnold third with 35 feet, 11 1-2 inches (handicap 5 feet).

L. Jackson '19 won the 35-pound weight competition with a throw of 42 feet, 8 inches (handicap 15 feet). W. Arnold '19 was second with 41 feet, 1 inch (handicap, 16 feet). E. R. Roberts took third place from scratch with 40 feet, 6 inches.
