The Illustrated elected the following officers for 1916-17 at the annual meeting of the board yesterday afternoon: President, Robert Chandler Kelley '17, of Dorchester; business manager, Thomas Holden White '17, of Cleveland, Ohio; secretary, Joel Addison Goldthwait '17, of Boston; photographic chairman, John Horace Norweb '18, of Elyria, Ohio. Lawrence Higgins '18, of Boston, was elected a regular business editor. Charles Blum, Jr. '18, of New York, and Albert Edward MacDougall '18, of Flushing, L. After the business of the meeting was finished, the board went into Boston for its eighteenth annual banquet, which was held this year at the Hotel Lenox. Graduates and others interested in the Illustrated spoke at the dinner.
Literary, business, and photographic competitions for the Illustrated will start at a meeting in the sanctum on Holyoke street Friday at 7 o'clock. The Illustrated competitions will offer a valuable training in three branches of modern journalism.
