The Monthly will open its competition for literary and business editors this evening at 7.30, when the candidates report in the Sanctum on the top floor of the Union.
Miss Amy Lowell, a "vers libre" poetess of Boston, will read some of her poems. She will be followed by the president, R. S. Mitchell 1G., who will outline the competition.
The competition for the literary editors will be run on a point system. A candidate must receive at least six points before he will be considered for election to the board.
The usual work of soliciting advertising and subscriptions is expected from the business candidates.
