The finals of the debating trials will be held this afternoon and evening in the New Lecture Hall at 3 and 7 o'clock. Teams A and B will debate at 3 o'clock, and teams C and D at 7 o'clock. The results of these trials will determine the make-up of the teams which will debate against Yale and Princeton. Two teams of three men each will be picked with three alternates.
The subject for this debate is: "Resolved, That the United States should adopt a system of compulsory military service modelled after that of Switzerland."
The Thomas Jefferson Coolidge prize of $100, and a medal, are awarded for the best speech made at any time during the trials. Thus those men who were eliminated have an equal chance with those who have been retained in the finals.
