New Haven, Conn., Feb. 23, 1916.--Yale defeated Princeton 6 to 3 in a fast, hard contest marked by ragged team play and accurate shooting on the part of both teams. The Elis' shooting was better than it had been at any time this season. York and Cohu made seventeen stops each.
Princeton was strong on the defensive and in following up her shooting, while the Yale players handled their sticks well and were sure of the puck. The game was not so rough as the last one.
For Yale, Gould was the most brilliant player. His individual work made up for the Elis lack of team-play and he was fast and sure in his shots. Peacock starred for Princeton. There were several penalties, Yale finishing the game with five men on the ice.
Summary: Goals--Yale, Gould (2), Bierworth 3, Aldrich; Princeton -- Peacock, Scully, Rue. Penalties--Washburn, Scully, Peacock, one minute each, Peacock, three minutes. Officials--Flynn and McKennon. Time--two twenty minute halves.
