MANY LECTURES SCHEDULED TO TAKE PLACE IN UNION

Vocational and Medical Talks Added to Entertainments Usually on Program.

Many talks and readings are to be given in the Union on various subjects in the next few months. In addition to the regular talks, prominent men have been secured to give vocational lectures on law, business, and medicine. The lecture on business will be given by Howard Elliot '81, and the lecturer on medicine will probably be Dr. Cabot. There will also be five informal medical talks by prominent physicians, which will deal with problems that confront every student in regard to the care of his health. The first of these lectures will be given by Dr. George F. Tobey on "The Diseases of the Nose, Ear, and Throat, and the Prevention of Colds"; the second by Dr. S. A. Hopkins on "The Care of the Teeth"; the next by Dr. D. L. Edsahl on "Food and the Digestion"; the fourth by Dr. Alexander Quackenboss '92, on "The Care of the Eyes"; and the last by Dr. Roger I. Lee '02, on "Exercise."

The program of all the lectures is as follows:

February 23.--Professor G. Lowes Dickinson on "The League in Europe to Enforce Peace and Its Counterpar."

February 28.--Hon. William F. Murray '04, on "Preparedness and the Work of the National Security League."

March 1.--Reading by Professor Copeland '82.

March 6.--F. S. Noli '12, representative of the Vatra, on "Albania in Relation to the Present European Conflict."

March 15.--George H. Putnam, Librarian at Washington, on "Preparedness and the Cause of England and the Allies in Relation to the United States."

March 23.--Rabbi Stephen F. Wise on "The War Against War, or Is War Cureless?"

April 5.--Reading by Professor Copeland '82.

April 11.--Professor Cheddo Miyatovich on "Servia and the Servians."

Vocational Lectures.

March 23.--Law lecture; speaker undecided.

March 9.--Business lecture by Howard Elliot '81.

Medical Lectures.
