At a meeting of the Athletic Committee last night the appointment of J. C. Ball, as coach of the Freshman baseball team for the coming season, was ratified.
The following recommendations which had been previously passed at a meeting of the Student Council were discussed and approved.
"Voted: That the managers of the five major sport teams, together with the "Graduate Treasurer of the Athletic Association, shall form a committee to pass upon the eligibility of experienced men, "entering a managerial competition late."
Also it was further voted: "That no assistant Freshman manager be awarded numerals except by the unanimous vote of the numeral men, the coach of the sport, the Executive Committee of the Student Council and the Athletic Committee."
Lacrosse Schedule Approved.
The 1916 lacrosse schedule was submitted for discussion and approved. It is substantially the same as last year's, the main point of interest being the final game with Yale. Before last season Yale had never been represented in lacrosse, but a year ago a team was formed, and Captain Nightingale of the University team went to New Haven to assist in its organization. This spring will be the first time that a Yale lacrosse team has come to Cambridge.
The schedule is as follows:
April 17.--University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia.
April 19.--Mt. Washington Lacrosse Club at Mt. Washington, Md.
April 22.--U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolls.
May 6.--Boston Lacrosse Club at Cambridge.
May 13.--Stevens at Hoboken.
May 17.--Hobart at Cambridge.
May 20.--Cornell at Cambridge.
May 27.--Yale at Cambridge.
