In an unusually hard-fought game the Freshman hockey team defeated the Newton High School seven at Braeburn yesterday afternoon by the score of 1 to 0.

Before going on the ice the Freshmen elected Rudolph Herman Kissel, Jr., of Morristown, N. J. captain of the 1919 team. Kissel prepared at Taft School, where he was captain of the hockey team. During the present season he has shown remarkable ability as a hockey player by his consistent and aggressive playing.

The Freshmen's only score came after four minutes of play in the first period, when Merrill, after a short dash down the ice, passed the puck to Gross, who shot it into the cage.
