Many of the largest colleges in the country are sending in their entries to the managers of the twenty-second annual relay race carnival, to be held on Franklin Field, Philadelphia, on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29. The invitations have not been out a week, but 30 colleges have already declared they will be represented. Among them are the University, Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, Cornell, Pennsylvania State, and Michigan. There is a great deal of interest in the mile relay race, which Pennsylvania won last year, making a world's record for the distance. The University has lost but one of last year's team which raced. Pennsylvania, R. Tower '15. The other three are W. J. Bingham '16, E. A. Teschner '17, and W. Willcox, Jr. '17. Pennsylvania has lost Lippincott, one of its best quartermile runners, and his place will be hard to fill.
