SOPHOMORE SMOKER IN UNION

SPEECHES, "MOVIES" AND MUSIC BY CLASS ORCHESTRA ON PROGRAM.

The Sophomore Class will hold its first smoker of the year in the Living Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock President E. L. Casey '19 will speak on the need of co-operation in the class, and L. K. Garrison '19 will report on the work of the finance committee, particularly the progress of the collection, which is well under way, a considerable amount having already been subscribed.

The class orchestra will furnish music throughout the evening in addition to several attractive special musical numbers which have been arranged. R. D. Sears '19, H. H. Pell '19, J. A. Patterson 19 and B. A. Jenkins 19, who compose the class Hawaiian quartet, will render several selections, and F. M. Trainer '19 will entertain on the piano.

"The Combat," a first-run photoplay featuring Anita Stewart, will lead the "movie" program. An animated "Boob" cartoon by Goldberg, and "Luke and the Mermaid," a comedy, will also be shown. Refreshments, including beer, cider, ginger ale and cigarettes will be provided.
