The University chess team will meet Yale, Columbia and Princeton in the 25th annual intercollegiate chess tournament in New York City on December 21, 22 and 23. E. W. Axe uC, R. Johnson 1L, L. D. Le Fevre '17 and E. T. King '18 will represent the University. Since three of these four men played last year the team is unusually strong this season and is expected to make a good showing in the tournament. Both Yale and Princeton have been defeated in dual matches, but Columbia, which has had a very successful preliminary season, will be by far the strongest of the University's opponents.
