Boxers Meet in Union Tonight

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With a view to continue the interest shown in boxing last year after a lapse of 23 years, a meeting will be held in the Trophy Room of the Union tonight at 8 o'clock. The plans for the coming season will be discussed and E. H. Clark '96, assistant graduate treasurer of the H. A. A., and James Walsh, instructor in boxing at the Hemenway Gymnasium, will speak.

The tournament last spring attracted much attention, and it is expected that a similar tournament will be held this year. The matches were very hard and cleanly fought, and the type of boxing was high. This is evident from the fact that John L. Sullivan, former boxing champion, has tried to arrange an bout between D. G. Kirkpatrick '17, winner of the heavyweight bout last spring, and Jess Willard, present world's champion.
