Mrs. William H. Forbes, of Milton, has presented the University the working model in clay for the marble statue of her father, Ralph Waldo Emerson '21, made by Daniel Chester French, and now standing in the Free Library of Concord. Other statues by the same sculptor are those of the Minute Man in Concord, and John Harvard in Cambridge.
