Dr. John Merz, of New York, will address the International Polity Club this evening upon the subject: "America's Role in the Great Settlement."

The meeting will be held in the Assembly Room of the Union at 8 o'clock. All members of the University are invited to attend and contribute to the discussion which will follow the address.

After December 1 notices of the informal dinners, receptions and conferences which the club will hold during the winter will be sent to club members only. An opportunity will be given at the meeting this evening to enroll as a member and to pay the annual dues which are purely nominal.

In order to assist in planning the year's work, the executive committee has sent out over 200 cards asking for suggestions as to desired subjects of discussion in the club and as to whether those interested are members of the Union with a view to providing statistics to put before the Administrative Board of the Faculty in the matter of making membership in the Union compulsory.
