The 1919 finance committee held its first meeting yesterday and will start its work of canvassing the class for contributions to the class fund today. Each member of the committee has been assigned to collect from 25 members of the class in the various dormitories and from eight who live at home. The reports from the dormitory collections are due next Monday, December 4. It is necessary for everyone to pay promptly and generously, as it is planned to hold a smoker soon and the balance from last year's treasury is extremely small. The members of the committee will compete for the positions of chairman and sub-chairman, which will be awarded to the men who have collected the largest amounts of money.
