The Portmanteau Theatre of New York, which will appear in Jordan Hall Boston, today, under the auspices of the Business Women's Club of Boston, will present six plays. Three plays will be presented in the afternoon, "The Golden Doom," "Voice" an interlude before the curtain and "The Gods of the Mountain." In the evening the latter play will be repeated and the other two plays will be "The Birthday of the Infanta" and "Nevertheless," an interlude.
This is the only portable theatre in the country with the exception of one in Chicago. The theatre is a complete theatrical stage, fully equipped to give a performance upon a stage of any size, as shown by its distinct success at the Century Theatre and the Seventh Regiment Armory in New York. It has been travelling for some time now, giving performances at many of the Eastern colleges and universities.
