TEN FUMBLES IN TIGER PRACTICE
Substitutes Gains Averaged Over Three Yards in Scoreless Scrimmage.
PRINCETON, N. J., Nov. 1, 1916.--With ten fumbles, today's football practice was decidedly discouraging. The firsts scrimmaged with the substitutes for 20 minutes, neither side being able to score. The substitutes' gains through the line averaged over three yards a play, which was disappointing after the reputation the line gained early in the season for unusual effectiveness.
Ames, Eddy and Corney, the three regular quarterbacks, were out, but Moore played at fullback as usual. Thomas and Brown were the halfbacks, with Haaren at quarter.
