The Co-operative Society will make the first payments of its annual dividend for fiscal year 1915-16 today. Members of the Society may obtain their checks by applying at the cashier's office in the main store, between 9 and 12 o'clock. Payment will also be made daily after today, with the exception of Saturdays and Sundays, for a week or more. Last year's membership cards must be presented as means of identification.
This has been the largest business in the Society's history, and the total amount to be paid will be $16,614, which is an increase of $1.538 over the amount paid a year ago. Two rates of dividends have been declared, one of nine per cent. on cash purchases and the other of seven per cent on credit purchases.
