FIRST LECTURE BY M. BOIS

FRENCH AUTHOR AND CRITIC WILL SPEAK IN EMERSON D AT 8 O'CLOCK

M. Jules Bois, vice-president of "La So ciete des gens de letters," will deliver three lectures in Emerson D this week the first to be given this evening Mr. Bois is the author of many novels and among them being "Los Deun Helenes," and "La Furie," the latter having been very successfully presented a the Comedies Francaise. For six years has been delivered this autumn a course of six lectures at Columbia University.

The lectures will begin at 8 o'clock. The subject tonight will be "La Politiquet National be et Republican." On Wednesday night the talk will concern "Le Philosophies et less Savants de 1871 1916," and Friday night the subject will lectures will he given in French and will be open to the public.

Cercle Holds Reception.

The Cercle Francais will hold a rejection for M. Bois this evening in Gray 17 after the completion of the lecture.

Another reception will be held for Madame Sarah Bernhardt at the Colonies Club tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock Madame Bernhardt will, give an address on the drama. Members of the French Department the Dramatic Club and English 47 are invited.
