Application to Enter Nelson Competition Must be Made by Tonight.

Manuscripts for the David A. Wells Prize in economics are due tonight at 6 o'clock, at which time they must be in the hands of Professor T. N. Carver, of the Economics Department. This prize amounting to $500 is awarded annually for the best paper in the field of economics, embodying the results of original investigation.

Those intending to enter the competition for the Nelson Prize must send their names and the subjects of their proposed papers to Professor George C. Whipple, of the Sanitary Engineering Department, by tonight. This prize of $200 will be awarded to the writer of the best paper on the practice or theory of plumbing. The completed manuscripts are not due until April 1, 1917.
