SOCCER TEAM LANDED VICTORY

Prospect Union Lost Game on Soldiers' Field by 2 to 0 Score.

The University association football team opened its season Saturday by defeating the Prospect Union eleven by two goals to nothing at Soldiers' Field. There was good foot-work on both sides, and a fast game was the result. The University, however, excelled in defence. Throughout most of the game the ball was in the opponents' territory, and Feeney's goal was never touched. Many substitutions were made to try out the new men. For the University E. E. Lucas '19, F. C. Dimond uC, and R. C. Cooke '18 played stellar roles. The two goals were made by Dimond and Cooke.
