SPRINGFIELD LOST SOCCER MATCH

University Team Had Close Game, While Andover Defeated Freshmen.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University association football team won its third straight victory of the year last Saturday when it defeated Springfield College on Soldiers Field by a score of two to one. V. B. Kellett '18 was a prominent factor in the victory, as both scores for the University were made by him. J. W. Feeney '18 starred at goal, turning aside many difficult shots. For the visitors Robinson and Smith played in excellent form. It was a fast and close game throughout.

The Freshman soccer team, playing its first game of the year, went down to defeat at Worcester before the Worcester Academy team. The victors' defense was too strong and the final score was four to nothing.
