The Freshman tennis team defeated the Sophomore team yesterday by winning five out of the six singles matches. As a result no doubles matches will be played. In the match between the Junior and Senior classes, the Juniors have won four matches and the Seniors two. The three doubles will be played today to decide the winner.
The following are the results of the matches yesterday: H. G. M. Kelleher '18 defeated R. L. Kennedy '17, 6-3, 6-0; J. V. Austin '18 defeated E. O. Baker '17, 6-2, 5-7, 10-8; E. B. Benedict '18 defeated T. W. Whitall '17, 10-8, 3-6, 6-3; D. K. Dunmore '18 defeated H. R. Guild '17, 8-6, 6-1; M. Hobbs '17 defeated L. E. Green '18, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5; H. Morgan '17 defeated W. D. D. Morgan '18 by default; G. W. Helm '20 defeated R. C. Rand '19, 6-1, 8-6; F. M. Warburg '19 defeated E. C. Johnson '20, 7-5, 6-2; C. G. Le-Forge '20 defeated F. W. Hatch '19 by default; P. G. Woodward '20 defeated P. E. Stevenson '19, 9-7, 2-6, 6-0; A. E. Kirk '20 defeated R. H. Kissel '19, 6-4, 6-4; C. W. Wooldredge '20 defeated L. Jackson '19, 6-4, 8-6.
