DEMOCRATS PREPARE FOR FORUM

Wilson Club Also Has Engaged Faneull Hall in Hope of Debate.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Wilson Club will be represented at the Forum in the Union on next Tuesday evening by E. R. Roberts 1L, H. Epstein 1L, and A. G. Paine '17, members of the University Debating Team last year. These men will present President Wilson's case in the discussion, the subject of which will be: "Resolved, That Woodrow Wilson Should be Re-Elected as President of the United States."

Statement by Pres. Claggett.

President S. V. Claggett 2L, of the Wilson Club, made the following statement to a CRIMSON reporter in regard to the proposed joint debate between his club and the Republican Club:

"The Wilson Club is anxious to have a joint debate with the Republican Club on the campaign issues. It has been proposed that the debate be held in Faneuil Hall, Boston, where the arguments of both parties can be brought more particularly before the voters as well as the interested members of the student body of the University, and to that end the Wilson Club has secured the hall. At present, however, no acceptance of the proposition has been received from the Republican Club or its representatives. The Wilson Club regrets having secured Faneuil Hall without being able to carry on the proposed debate, but it joins with the Republican Club in the discussion at the Forum Tuesday night. However, I wish, in addition to the Forum, that some Republican supporters would organize a debating team to meet our representatives. I feel that there is a demand for such a debate which undoubtedly would clarify the issues of the campaign to the voters in Boston and its vicinity."
