FOUR COMPANIES TO DRILL

Two Hundred and Sixty Men Will Begin Outdoor Work Today.

The Harvard Battalion will hold its first drill this afternoon. Four companies, formed from the members of the course in military science and tactics, will assemble on the roadway east of James Smith Hall at 1.30 o'clock. Captain Cordier will have direction over 260 men. Company commanders upon assembling their companies will assign the members to squads select temporary squad leaders and impart instruction in the school of the soldier and the squad.

The following appointments of cadet officers and non-commissioned officers have been made:

Captains: M. H. Davis 2L, G. C. Wilkins '18.

Lieutenants: C. A. Coolidge, Jr., '17, R. K. Fessenden Unc, J. D. Williams Unc, C. E. Fraser '18.
