Analysis of Available Material.
The season's outlook for the gymnastic team is very promising, although only two point winners of last year are back, Captain W. Campbell '16 and D. Campbell '17, manager. The most serious loss is that of M. F. Gates '15, a consistent performer and certain point winner last season. Three other men lost through graduation are H. F. Ballantine '15, R. G. McPhail '15, and P. M. Symonds '15. A great deal will depend upon the work of the two Campbell brothers. Both are equally skilful on the horizontal and parallel bars, and W. Campbell is a good performer on the side horse and flying rings.
The only Senior out besides Captain Campbell is S. Hall, manager of the 1913-14 team. The most promising candidates from the other classes are H. L. Kerr '17, L. M. French '17, W. E. Hicks '18, L. M. Van der Pyl '18, F. R. Whitney '18, M. Blanchard '18, G. W. Bullard '18, A. I. Smith '19, and E. A. Benner '18. Regular practice is being held in the Hemenway Gymnasium every day.
