The University fencing team was defeated 8 to 1 by the Annapolis fencers in the match at Annapolis Saturday night. Captain W. H. Russell '18 showed the best form for Harvard, winning one of his bouts. The summary:

White (A.) defeated B. S. Nichols '16, 7 to 3.

Price (A.) defeated W. H. Russell '18, 7 to 4.

Doughty (A.) defeated E. P. Hamilton '18, 8 to 2.

Price (A.) defeated B. S. Nichols '16, 13 to 12 after tie.

W. H. Russell '18 defeated Doughty (A.), 7 to 6.

White (A.) defeated E. P. Hamilton '18, 9 to 7.
