Brown University next week will hold for the first time mid-year entrance examinations for students who graduate from preparatory schools at mid-year and who are desirous of entering college at once. This step was decided upon by the university officials because of the fact that all four Providence high schools and several other preparatory schools in New England and New York graduate classes in January as well as in June.
