Fencers Leave for Philadelphia

The University fencing team, accompanied by Coach Leslabay, will leave at midnight tonight on an important trip. The University of Pennsylvania, always a strong opponent, will be the opponent at Philadelphia tomorrow evening, and on Saturday the team will journey to Annapolis to meet the United States Naval Academy team, which has never been defeated by Harvard in a fencing match.

There is every reason to believe that the team will make a good showing in the matches, for the decisive defeat of Bowdoin last week showed that the material is above the average this year.

Captain W. H. Russell '18 is fully recovered from the illness which hampered him last week, and will be first man. Manager B. S. Nichols '16 will be second man, and the third member of the team is E. P. Hamilton '18, who lately has been showing greatly improved form.
