TEAM PRIMED FOR PRINCETON

STRENUOUS PRACTICE YESTERDAY PRACTICALLY ENDED WORK FOR SQUAD.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Hard practice for the hockey game with Princeton in New York tomorrow night wound up at the Arena yesterday afternoon with a brisk 10-minute scrimmage between teams A and B, which team A won by the score of 2 goals to 1. The team will hold a final light work-out at the Arena this evening at 6 o'clock. There will be no scrimmage, but the hour will be devoted to passing, shooting, blocking, and perfecting the various plays. Curtis has practically recovered from the attack of grippe which has kept him away from the Arena for the last few days, and will be among the squad of 16 men that will make the trip to New York tomorrow morning on the 10 o'clock train. Doty and Baker were also given a day off yesterday, but will be in action again tonight.

Most of the period yesterday was spent in passing and shooting work. Coach Winsor sent the forward lines down hard against the backs, paying particular attention to following in on the rebounds. The wings have improved greatly in this department of the game, and both W. Morgan and Thacher, who have been playing the end positions, are following the puck closely.

Team B scored first in the scrimmage yesterday, Bliss getting a goal on a clean sharp drive from a difficult angle. Percy evened matters a few minutes later, scoring on a pretty pass from Baldwin, and Thacher scored the last goal just before time was called, knocking the puck into the net from a scrimmage which drew Abbott out of the cage. The team A forwards took a number of shots at the goal, and followed up fast on the rebounds, but Abbott's effective work kept the score down.

The following men will go to New York tomorrow: G. Abbott '17, E. O. Baker '17, R. Baldwin '17, H. M. Bliss '17, C. S. Clark '16, L. Curtis, 2d '16, A. F. Doty '16, T. H. Eckfeldt '17, T. K. Teams A and B lined up yesterday as follows: TEAM A.  TEAM B. W. Morgan, l.w.  r.w., Bliss Baldwin, l.c.  r.c., Fisher Percy, r.c.  l.c., Lombard Thacher, r.w.  l.w., Rice Eckfeldt, c.p.  c.p., Clark J. Morgan, p.  p., Gardner Wylde, g.  g., Abbott
