First place in the 16-pound shot competition yesterday went to E. R. Roberts '16 with a put of 40 feet 5 inches (handicap 4 feet). A. T. Lyman '16 took second from scratch with 39 feet 9 inches, beating Parson's mark of a week ago by 2 feet 5 inches. J. W. Cummings '18 was third with a put of 39 feet 8 inches (handicap 9 feet).
E. R. Roberts '16 won the competition in the 35-pound weight from scratch with a distance of 43 feet 6 inches, which is a foot and 2 inches better than his record a week ago. L. Jackson '19 was second with 40 feet 4 inches (handicap 12 feet), and W. B. Snow '18 was third with 35 feet 5 inches (handicap 10 feet).
