A ragged, uninteresting scrimmage between teams. A and B at the Arena yesterday afternoon resulted in a victory for team A by the score of 2 to 0. Neither team displayed much life, and any attempt at intelligent passing seemed to be lacking on both sides. The playing was choppy throughout, with the centres lagging behind and the wings repeatedly losing chances to score by their failure to cover the rebounds. Baker almost scored early in the scrimmage, but Abbott made a good stop, and finally Percy tallied the first goal on a long, low shot from beyond the outer defence. Doty made two or three good rushes up the rink, scoring on one of these when his shot bounded off Abbott's guards and hitting his skate slid behind the posts.
Curtis and Harris are both out with the grip, but are expected to be in shape again in a few days. Baker took Curtis place at left centre, with W. Morgan on the left wing.
