Plans for Water Polo Have Been Temporarily Abandoned

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Plans for the organization of a University water-polo team have been temporarily abandoned on account of the fact that no coach is available, and because the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. tank, which is shallow at one end, is not suitable for water-polo. The fact that the men can only practice three times a week at the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. is another handicap which could be overcome if the proposed new tank in the Union becomes a reality. Any men who are interested in the game, however, are urged to report at the Cambridge Y. M. C. A. tank, with the University swimming team, where practice scrimmages will be held with a view to forming a team next year. Water polo is prominent among winter sports at Yale, Princeton, Columbia, and many other colleges.
