The University Association football team will hold its first practice of the fall season on Soldier's Field this afternoon at three o'clock. There are about three weeks in which to fill the gaps left vacant by graduation. The first league game will be with Princeton on November 6. Four preliminary games will precede this one making it necessary for candidates to report immediately.

Coach Charles Burgess who has had charge of the soccer team for the last six years will again have charge of the team. He will be present at practice this afternoon. Of last year's eleven only five players remain, Captain W. W. Weld '16, J. Jennings '16, O. G. Ricketson '16, D. Moffat '16, and F. G. C. O'Neill '16. This leaves six positions to be filled before the league games begin. Of the eleven games on the tentative schedule, four will be played away from Cambridge.

Practice for the 1919 association football team will commence next week together with the competitions for second assistant and Freshman managerships. The exact time of the competitions will be announced later in the CRIMSON.
