YALE GOLFERS MADE CLEAN SWEEP

F. R. Blossom Won Individual Title in Intercollegiate Tournament.

Yale golfers made a clean sweep in the annual intercollegiate golf tournament held at Greenwich, Conn., the week of September 6, by capturing both the individual and team honors. The new individual champion is F. R. Blossom, of Yale, who defeated G. A. Peacock, of Princeton in the final round, 11 and 9.

In the first round of team play the University team was defeated by the champions 7 to 2. J. W. Hubbell '17 won the only singles match for Harvard by defeating L. H. Bredin. J. W. Hubbell '17 and G. A. McCook '16 secured the remaining point by defeating L. L. Bredin and D. H. Mudge in the four-ball competition. In the remaining first round matches, Princeton and Pennsylvania defeated Williams and Cornell respectively, while Illinois, a new entrant, drew a bye. Yale and Princeton advanced to the finals, the former taking the title 5 to 4.
