Plans for a Technology clubhouse, somewhat similar to the Union, to be erected in memory of F. A. Walker, who was president of the Institute for 15 years, were approved at the last meeting of the Alumni Council of Technology. The memorial will be located east of the educational group of buildings on the shore of the Charles River Basin. A fund of $100,000 has been subscribed, and it is expected that the plans will be carried out in all details.

During his presidency, Mr. Walker realized the Institute's need of what he called a "social side," and for this reason the memorial, now practically assured, is especially appropriate.
